Help me lose Belly and love handle fat from c-section??

I have had 2 c-sections and a hernia surgery. I have gained almost 20 lbs. since my last c-section (2003). I am always on the go, but I just can't seem to lose the weight. I am a fulltime college student and I am also a server . Both those are lots of cardio. I don't eat the best b/c I am also busy and I have 3 kids. I recently joined a gym and I am ready to make a lifestyle change. I will be graduating from college in 3 more semesters and I am so ready to lose some weight. My arms and legs aren't that fat, it is mostly my belly and love handles. Yes, I have to pooch. Is there any excercise ot diet excercise tips that anyone can give me to help me get a good jumpstart on this? I know that cradio is the most important thing to do to lose weight?? My husband says I am fine the way I am (185), but I don't feel fine and I am very depressed about my weight everyday. Please help!

Reply:My sister had the same problem. She ended up having a tummy tuck and now she feels great about her body. Her doc says that pooch is caused by the c-sections and other than having a tummy tuck, there is no other way to get rid of it.
Reply:Hi there,

Only one phrase of yours caught my eyes. "I know that cradio is the most important thing to do to lose weight?". Always remember this : You can never spot reduce fats. Our bodies are designed in such away that fat reduction is through overall body fat reduction and not through a single spot or two.

Did you know that the most effective way to lose fats is NOT to do CARDIO?

Studies have shown that cardio exercises, though designed to uplift your cardiovascular intensity, may do little to burn fats but at the same time, also make you lose muscle tissue. That results in reduction in weight – Loss of Little Fats + Loss of Muscle Fibres. Little fats are burned and muscle tissues are also burned during cardio workouts.

Your body goes into a 'steady' state when a cardio session is undertaken at a constant pace for a long period. When this happens, the body's natural instinct is to strive to conserve calories and this natural instinct places a cap on the amount of calories that could be burned.

So what is the best way to force your body to burn more calories? HIIT or also know as turbulence training, which is a scientifically proven method. In this kind of training, there is no room for the body to go into a 'steady' state. The alternate intensity the body is exposed to prohibits the body from going to a 'steady' state. So what results? More calories are being burned and that too, at a shorter time!

Even I have seen significant difference with this program without losing muscle mass and only reduction in overall body mass.

I think if you are really keen to lose fats and retain muscle mass, you should check out more on this program, go to www.reviewsrealm.com

It is a worthwhile investment!

Thanks!
Reply:My naturopath recommended I follow a diet based on blood type. Your library will probably have the book "Eat Right For Your Type" by Peter D'Adamo. When I started to follow that, I lost weight. People that haven't seen me in a while have commented that I've lost weight and look good. Give it a go.
