Anybody living with hep c that can help answer my questions?
My friend has just been diagnosed by gp as being hep c positive. they now feel that their life is over. How can I help them. They are shutting out their partner through fear of infecting them and they think that they will never be able to have sex without infecting them. what is treatment like? is it possible to live a ordinary life without pain and come to terms with? please help me to help save their relationship.

Hep c is rarely sexually transmitted, especially among monogamous partners (1-3%). The risk of transmitting it sexually increases with multiple partners, MSM (men having sex with men), and coinfection with HIV is added to the mix.
Your friend needs to get in contact with a local support group. It will help to educate her about the disease and what she needs to do. It does not have to be a death sentence. Most people live with hep c and die from something else. It is a slowly progressing disease, but can be deadly if she drinks alcohol or ignores it. I have had the treatment for hep c and have been undetectable for 6 years. Basically, unless I become re-exposed to risk factors, I am cured. I owe that to my peers in my support group who helped me to learn about this illness and what my options were. Education is power; power to make informed decisions about your healthcare. Best wishes to you and your friend.
Reply:I helped my aunt through this. Hep c can only be transmitted through blood contact first of all. There is little pain involved. Intraferon treatment itself can be somewhat painfull. Injections 3 times a week that make you very sick, almost like chemo. Success rate is high. The chance of your friend infecting his/her partner is slim. Wear condoms, don't share razors, toothbrush etc. any thing that can carry blood. As long as your friend takes good care of themselves, this disease does not have to be life threatening or life altering. I wish you all the best.
Reply:Almost everyone with Hep C lives a normal life. For your question about treatment, the only way to know if treatment is necessary is for your friend to speak with her doctor. Most people with Hep C do not require any treatment at all, so only a doctor can help with that one. Your friend shouldn't have any pain or anything like that. Their doctor would probably advise that they stay away from certain things (alcohol, etc.) to keep their liver healthy but she'll be fine...
If you or your friend have more questions I would recommend the Centers for Disease Control's info line for Hepatitis. You can call 24 hours a day at 1-800-232-4636.

Recently I have had a lot of Stress to cope with which has increased my Blood Pressure. I have been taking Renitec 20mg for 7 years and it has kept my blood pressure in check and I have been fine on this but recently it has risen again even though I am still on on this medication. I have been told that Vitamin B and C or Garlic will help lower Blood Pressure. Can you please tell me if this is right. Thanks.

How do I get C.P.S off my case? I need help getting them to stop taking my kids?
I recently had a C.P.S. case and I will have that kid back in June now they have takin my week old son just because I was spring cleaning at the time they showed up to inspect my house and it was a little messy from rearranging. can anyone help me get them off my case and leave my family alone???????

Check online for help in your area.Keep your house spotless, %26amp; when you get your kids back move to another county if possible. You have to bow down %26amp; do whatever they want you to do. Go ahead %26amp; start looking for a place now. Once they get all of your kids you my have a real problem getting them back.

Hey, I'm supposed to write a c++ program that plays the game hangman.
It's supposed to read in a bunch of words from a file that contains strings, it has to store the strings in an array of strings. Then print out a series of underscores and letters which represent the answer like s__ francis__. The user has to enter a letter, if it's incorrect print out a part of a man on the gallows with dashes and such. If it is correct put it in the word. Also I'm supposed to use 2 functions in the program. The file that the words will be read from will be up to 1000 lines long. And the program has to use strings to store the words not arrays.
Can someone plz explain how to do it or help me get started plz

Dude! This is not going to be a quick simple little program.
Id break it into chunks as follows:
1) Write a routine to read in the words and store them into the array of strings. Here are a couple of variables:
string myWords[1000];
short wordCount=0;
This could be a function or could just be at the beginning of main().
2) Write a function to display the gallows. This is probably the hardest part. I would suggest making your display just a few arrays of data and then assigning values as needed. For example, your gallow initialization could look something like

" || ",
" || ",
" || ",
" || ",
" || ",
" || ",
" || ",
"/||\ ",

This means you'll need an array (size 26) for missed letters and another array, initialized with underscores and the size of the maximum word you expect.
You'll need to create another function to perform the letter check. This should make sure the letter hasn't already been used and if not, see if the letter exists in the word being guessed. If it doesn't, then the letter position corresponding to their guess is filled in within the missed letters array and the count (for the gallows display) is increased. If it is correct, replace the appropriate underscore with the correct letter.
There's an awful lot more to a program like this and it could take pages to provide more help. I'd suggest you work on small parts and then assemble those working parts to make the whole program.

When you read a word, use new to get an instance of the object, put the word into the string member of the object and link the object to a list of other such objects. You can even sort the list if you need to. (It doesn't use arrays. Maybe that is what your instructor expects).
Be sure to delete all the objects in the list when you exit. It's good form.

Need help with dev C compiler, specifically, windows application?
I know there is a probably a better place to ask this, but I don't know where. Anyways, what I need help with is writing a program using the windows application option (where the program starts with all the windows api stuff already there) in C language. I have no idea where to put my code in the large mess of stuff. There isn't even a main function, however there is one called winmain, is that something? I have tried sticking a printf function in different places to try to find where I can put my code with no luck. Does normal output like that not work in window application? I know there is a probably a better place to ask this, but I don't know where. Anyways, what I need help with is writing a program using the windows application option (where the program starts with all the windows api stuff already there) in C language. For each transaction entered, the program should echo print the data, current balance for the account. service charges are 0.15 for check, 0.10 for deposit. If balabce becomes negative , additional 10.00 should be assessed. the program should print a warning message if balance drops below 50.00. Please be mature about this!!! I had my second c-section 8 days ago. It feels to me like the best I can describe, something is trying to force its way out of my rectum. It is hard for me to even sit. Sorry to hear of your discomfort..It's just the pressure you are feeling...Have you called your doc. and/or nurse about it yet?...What did they say?...I had a c-section so I know how you are feeling..I had to urinate in a tub of water because it hurt/stung so bad to do it the natural way!...IT TAKES TIME to heal and you need to be resting as much as possible...gravity can make it more uncomfortable and you may just be feeling it in your rectum..You have bruising in this area too...God Bless You....

One I think that you may be doing more than you should, I think you need to rest more which can be hard since you now have 2 little ones to look after. I think that you need to call your doctor tommorrow and they should be able to answer your question, usually without you having to go in for a visit. But it does sound like hemmroids, somtimes they are all internal, also remember there was a baby in there a little over a week ago and your insides are trying to find where they belong. Good luck.

Reply:Constipation is a common side effect after any anesthesia. You didn't say what your bowel elimination pattern has been, but my wife so constipated after her first vaginal birth that when she finally went, it gave her an anal fissure. Those hurt and take a long time to heal.
I doubt the doctor left any instruments in your abdomen.
Go see your OBGYN ASAP. If you have any gushes of blood (from anywhere) or severe pain, go to the emergency room.

But then again , hospitals have been known to lose a sponge or some surgical instrument inside a person during surgery by accident. Just be on the safe side and go see what the doc can find out. If it is hurting you then go on to the ER.

my friend was with her cousin sarah that had hepatits C and was drinking after her and crap and sarahs hepC can spread through saliva.. my friend didnt find out that sarah had hepC until afterward... before my friend told me about this i sucked off her sucker and that means we shared saliva then she told me about how she thinks she might have HepC spreaded by saliva and blood... so i think i might have it and this all just happend today...i just told my mom and i need to know the soonest i can get tested in order for it to show up...please help and thanks alot!

It's NOT spread through saliva, sweat, tears or any other bodily fluids and especially NOT from casual contact. Some people don't know what they are talking about. Good luck, and like I said, unless you came in contact with this person's blood, you don't have to worry. Remember, only blood, not any other bodily fluids.

Right click the taskbar and open Task Manager-%26gt;Processes and see the file name as svchost.exe with the user name as what name you use to Login and select the file and click end task.
Then go to C:\ and delete the folder.
Do not delete the other svchost.exe files as they are system files.

i have a HP laptop with the HP Backup and recovery pre-installed but that is no good as you can only burn once.
i will need to make a bootable ghost image but i dont know how to as i'm quite new to this but am very reliable on computers..i want to learn and experience this experience on how to create images also this will benefit me as i hope to have an image of my c drive as it it will be very helpful because system recovery is too much of a hassle.
please i need advice and help in all sorts of directions..links and programs names willl be helpful..also i have no floppy drive on my laptop so icnt use a bootable diskette i will have to make a cd..but how??

ummm well if u want a complete image of C, not just the files but the boot image too then ull have to use Norton Ghost, shop around for best price. This program does have kind of a high error rate but give it a shot since its one of the few programs that will do that. I personally just back up my account, all that C drive stuff is not neccesarry unless u have crap loads of programs

OR if you reformat ur pc make two drives. drive c %26amp; d, you call this partition. allocate smaller space for drive c where system files will be installed, so everytime u format your pc, it will not take u that long. dont worry files in drive d will be intact.

i'm trying to write a matrix class for c++. but i'm a bit rusty, and I don't have access to my text book, so i need some help refreshing my memory on a few basics.
so far i've been able to declare and implement the following function in my program file, but can't get it to compile when i declare it and define it in a header and definition file.

Any template code in a separate cpp file is not seen. In short, you don't use any .cpp file for your template class, just one big header.
As a second problem, some compilers do not support template member functions (this may not be a problem for you).
As a separate design issue, GenerateIdentity should be a static class function. It doesn't operate on a specific matrix object, it just generates a new one.
The declaration should be:

The space in my c: drive is constantly reducing even when i dont add any programs.........please help me!!!?
A few days ago i had about 2GB space in my C: drive ..........later the space had reduced to about 350mb the very next day and now it keeps fluctuating around the same amount of space.........please do help me ...........

Internet stores cache and temp files, as do other applications.
My best suggestion to you would be, get another larger hard drive. I've had my PC for years and have never come close to have less than 2 Gb space available. How big was your hard drive to start with?

my a/c compressor started making noises. like grinding. and you can hear it . and its getting louder everyday,, where should i go to get it fixed, should i keep driving it. i been 2 a couple of places an every1 tells me a different thing. dont know what to do. some tell me just to change da compressor , while others tell me 2 change the whole thing. thats expensive. 2,ooo dollars approxitmately is what it will cost at 1 place.. so can someone pls help an tell me what to do,, thank you.

I need help on C++ Programming help FAST?
I need help on creating a program that will ask a user to input the amount, calculate sales tax, and calculate the total by adding the tax w/ the original price. Then display the total sales. I am new at this program so please help. I have downloaded the C++ program 2 my computer, but I am still a little lost.

Second, it's a very complicated language and is very difficult to learn. Do you have any experience in another object-oriented language? If not, I'd recommend you try something a little easier (Like, XHTML and then PHP) and then move up to another language like Python or Ruby. Then maybe Java. After that, you should be good to learn C++.
However, if you think it's a program... Well, then you're probably not going to have much success learning anything.

Pregnant Again After M/C lots of Questions..Help Please?
I had a m/c in June 1st at 6 weeks dont know the cause I have a 7 y/o healthy child. Im pregnant again,by1st day of last LMP says I'm 9w5d.My questions are: Am I really 8 weeks because of the calculation I don't understand it?
I do not have/qualify for health ins. where can I go to make sure everything is ok? What will be done at my stage? The last2days have freaked me out as my breasts don't seem to hurt as much (swollen yes!) but not as much pain, smell isnt making me so sick, i can't smell the cookout a mile away! :( i have no bleeding no pain, but symptoms slightly lessening is making me a wreck, I cant go through the pain again. Im scared don't know where to go for reassurance/confirmation the baby is ok. Can you miscarry without bleeding? what are my chances of another? I am lost and need help I feel like if I dont do something soon my stress will cause something to occur, anyone that has experienced would understand, thank you for taking the time to read i appreciate it

You are almost to the 2nd tri already so thats awesome, If you were to m/c again your body would need a way of expelling the embryo so the bleeding is neccesary.
I knwo its hard and I know its scary, but really try not to stress, find a free clinic somewhere where you can be evaluated. call some social agencies if you need to to help you find a place.

HELP!!!!!! I am 23 years old and have been thinking about having kids and has been trying. I hear about the P.C.O.S. From a good friend that seen it on TV so i brought it to my doc.. She told me I did have it I had been tested b4 with my old doc. So this whole time I did have it and Was never told about it. i had the c-sec on oct 24th. I was doing great at feeding then i just wasn't producing anything and i gave my daughter a bottle bc it had just been so long.
anyways this morning it looked like i had milk come in so i tried to feed her but she just kept on crying and fussing pretty much refusing the breast so i gave her another bottle and tried to pump my own milk but nothing is coming. how long should i try to pump?

No more bottles. Breastfeeding takes work on the part of the baby as they draw milk from the breast. Bottles are ok to use when you are established with nursing, but not before. It is recommended that you not give a baby who is breastfeeding a bottle until the 5th week, at least.
Put the bottles away.
-Use very warm water to warm your breasts and self express before nursing. In this way, the milk is "right there". The baby will have less effort to draw it from the breast.
-Try to feed before baby is actually really hungry. Watch your baby's cues. When baby is really hungry and has experienced a bottle in the early weeks, they do not want to work to draw the milk out.
I can hear you are distressed and I hope this works for you. It is going to take some time to get baby back on. Your baby is only 4 days old. There is plenty of time to get the baby back on the breast. What you need is a hug.
When she does, I want you to remember that your baby is going to nurse and nurse often in the first 6 weeks on average. Do not assume this means that you are not making enough. You are. As long as your baby has 8 wet diapers a day, you are.
See a lactation consultant to get some help as well. You can find them at the hospital where your baby was born and at your OB/GYN's office. There should be someone there to assist you. I used one at the OB's when our son was born 11 years ago.
Pumping right now is going to do nothing- you are going to pump out colostrum. Your baby is only 4 days old and that is about the time that milk comes in. Nurse. Nurse on demand, lay down and nurse. Nap and nurse. Wear your baby and nurse. Pumping is not recommended until after the 4th week when your milk supply is more established.

Put the baby to breast a hundred times if needed. Tease the lip with the nipple so she opens up. Cram as much of your breast into her mouth as you can.
Call the lactation consultant from the hospital- don't even bother pumping until you have been breastfeeding exclusively for 2-3 weeks and have established a good milk supply and latch.
Reply:If you really want to breastfeed, stop giving the baby bottles. Try different positions, and try to get comfortable before trying to feed. Try feeding her before she's screaming and really hungry, and you'll both be more relaxed. There's really no need to pump at this point unless you're just really full. When you do, just pump until you feel better, because whatever you take out will return. Breastfeeding is supply and demand. Keep trying, and stay away from anything other than the breast until your baby gets used to nursing. Good luck.

Bottles are easier for the baby to drink from. I think you should stop the bottles and just persevere for a few days. I am sure you do have milk and the baby would ave been getting some.

I am all for BF, that is the only milk my daughter knows, but the child health comes first.

The first 3-4 days after birth the only thing your child needs is the colustrum (sticky, yellow stuff) that comes out before your milk comes in. One thing that helped me was using an SNS (supplemental nursing system) right after birth. My daughter was in the special care unit and she wasn't liking latching on much at first. The SNS gives formula through a tiny hose-like straw that you tape to your nipple. You latch your daughter and she gets the immediate reward of food and in turn she stimulates your breasts and will not hurt your milk supply. Giving a bottle will sabotage all of your efforts. I also used to pump after each feeding for about 15 minutes on each side to further stimulate my milk supply. Whatever I pumped we used and supplemented with a little formula. We only had to use it for about a day or two and then my daughter turned into a breastfeeding champ. We weaned her from it by slipping out the hose after she established a good sucking rhythm (about 30 seconds into it when I felt my "letdown" take over). We ended nursing until she was 19-months old when she self-weaned.

The best suggestion that I can give is just take her cloths off down to her diaper so that she has lots of skin-to-skin contact with you, cover up with blankets if necessary since it is getting cold, and then just hold her near your breasts, don't put pressure on you or her. After awhile, you and she will become more comfortable and she may start to root around and open. At that point position her so that she can latch on to your nipple, just let her stay there though, she may fall asleep and then wake up and start rooting, don't worry about the time.
Anyway, that's the best advice I can give. contact the lll and get personal support today and let her hang out by the boobie.

Also with the c-section, let a pillow do most of the holding of your baby. If you have a boppy, use that, if not just any pillows that hold her near the right height and are comfortable for you and her. You can still rest your hands on her to comfort her, but I remember being so thankful for the pillows because it would have been so hard to hold my son as much as you need to hold the baby after surgery.

Using a hospital-grade pump CAN stimulate you enough to produce enough milk for your baby. You can rent one for a month until your supply is established. If exclusively pumping, you have to pump really often, as often as the baby feeds, and it can be exhausting.
Get help to see if there is something about the baby's latch that needs correcting and to make sure all is well. If you have to pump for a while due to breastfeeding issues, it can be done. I had to exclusively pump for the first 2 weeks, and at 8 months old the only formula my daughter has had was a very small amount in her first few days of life, before my milk came in.

Help selecting undergarments post c-section for tummy support...?
I am having my second c-section on Monday. My doctor is having me wear a binder for the first few weeks after the surgery, to help support the muscles and incision. She recommended that if I still want support and help returning to pre-pregnancy tummy, that I should consider just buying a girdle after that. Any suggestions? I have been looking at the shapers (no loop/hooks, or boning) and they seem inexpensive- do they work? Any serious input would be appreciated. Please note, I cannot vote on best answer for a few weeks. Thanks!

Note that maximum input number is 3,000.
I don't know how to do it, it can't possibly mean doing the syntax 3000 times! I think it may have to do with the place values, but I don't know how to work it out. Help please? Thanks.

This way, you should be able to work out.
