The space in my c: drive is constantly reducing even when i dont add any programs.........please help me!!!?
2GB ONLY!? You have to give space for your computer to store it's Temp files and other stuff like Background defragmenting! Clear some stuff! Or could be a virus, try http://free.grisoft.com/
Reply:Click "start" on desktop , click "settings" , click "control panel" , open "internet options" , click "delete cookies" click "o.k." , click "delete file" , tickmark "delete all offline content " click "o.k." , click "clear history" click "o.k." . Click "o.k." in the bottom .

If this doesn't help get the latest antivirus scanner and scan the whole computer .
Reply:check the c:/ drive if there isa a virus in it. it may damage yor system. do it as soon as possible. or you should do a disk clean up
Reply:Adding data, going on the internet, using applications that use java, all reduce you hard drive space.

Internet stores cache and temp files, as do other applications.

My best suggestion to you would be, get another larger hard drive. I've had my PC for years and have never come close to have less than 2 Gb space available. How big was your hard drive to start with?
Reply:backup as much information as you can and replace the hard drive. it sounds like the drive has a lot of bad sectors and errors. it's almost ready to die.
Reply:Other than checking for virus, I would also check your log files in C:\windows\system32 and also check control panel administrative tools event viewer. Make sure you dont have security auditing enabled. It will use alot of processor time and create large logs
Reply:Don't worry it is the virtual memory that is taking the space only.

no bad effects.
Reply:Run a virus scan...could be something thats constantly adding files to your computer to slow it down. But yeah you should probably never be as low as 350mb left. If possible delete what you can off of it and defrag your computer and check for virus's
