I need to put a video from a vhs-c camcorder to my pc for editing!!! help please!!!!!!?
basically im doing an amatuer project and I need to put a video from a vhs-c camcorder to my pc for editing.... but i cnt use a dvd recorder or a capture card to put it on a disk because it will still have the digital layer written on it (basically showing the time on tape still , the battery power etc. (and there is no way to turn it off)) so i need to put it onto my pc and somehow get rid of that digital layer.... PLEASE I NEED DESPERATE HELP!
Additional Details
the camcorder only has AV outputs....
by a digita layer i mean how (for example) wen playing the tape off the camcorder it has extra things on it; the battery life, time on the tape, and other things - kinda hard to explain - hope u get wat i mean....
it doesnt (the layer) go away when connected to a tv via AV cables.....
also thinking as to whether this will work....

Help with vhs-c camcorder!!!!!!!!! desperate!!!!!?
That device will allow you to play your VHS-C tape in a standard VHS machine. But the question really is, "is the time and date information recorded on to the tape itself, or is it simply being output by the camera over the top of the image?"
If the latter is true, that the camcorder is superimposing the information onto the image, and you can't turn it off from within the camera then putting the small tape into the adaptor you mention and playing it through a regular VHS player will eliminate the text. You can then use a dvd recorder or capture card as usual.
If it were just the time and date showing I would be concerned that possibly they were recorded onto the tape when you originally shot the footage. But because the battery indicator is also showing up it's possible that this is not the case (I've never seem a camera that even offers the option of recording battery status onto the tape - it would not be a useful feature) I think you might be in luck and discover that the tape is clean.
So yes, I think using a regular VHS deck for output will work, and the adaptor you mention will allow you to do that.
Reply:You need an analog converter to convert the VHS (analog) to your PC (digital). You will lose quality. I have the dazzle. I hope this helps you.
